National Security adviser Condoleezza Rice insists that (George Bush) will one day rank alongside such towering pillars of 20th century statecraft as President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

This coming from the unmarried woman who accidentally referred to W as "my husband," by the way... But let's look at one more bit of Condasleazy's fantasy world...

"Statesmanship has to be judged first and foremost by whether you recognize historic opportunities and seize them," Rice said in an interview with Cox Newspapers.

Hm. Well, okay. I guess that W recognized historic opportunities and seized them. Unfortunately, these were the opportunities:

• Turning our allies (and most of the world) against us, utterly squandering the political capital gained in the wake of the 9/11 attacks
• Invading a sovereign nation that had absolutely no capability of attacking us -- and then completely fucking it up despite a larger, technologically superior army.
• Bankrupting this nation and driving the deficit to unprecedented levels, with no end to the debt spending in sight.
• And, though he hasn't achieved it yet, he seems determined to drive the planet into an economic chaos not seen since the period between 1923 and 1941, when economies everywhere collapsed into a depression that was only cured by a World War.

Yeah, I don't know what the hell they've been slipping into Condi's Ovaltine™, but I sure as hell want some...
